Dr... Who?

Oh me, oh my... it's bloody fantastic! *bad immitation of London accent*

*cough*

I'm sorry, squeeing-fangirl-syndrome. I'll go take my pills. *gulp* Now. It's still awesome! I came across this show somewhat by chance - it's not airing here as far as I know (even if it were, I rarely watch TV), but Lynn Flewelling (otterdance ) mentions it in her LJ now and then. So, when I was bored and waiting for the week to pass so I could squee about another episode of "Grey's Anatomy", I went looking for some other TV show to watch... and remembered, vaguely, something called "Dr Who".

What I found first was a somewhat bizzare BBC production from the 1950s (yeah, in black and white!), which was... interesting. I admit I didn't find it quite good enough to keep watching for seasons on end, but good enough to want to see some more episodes. So I searched again. (Not so easy to find, actually.) I found something else called "Dr Who Season1", but was surprised (in a good way) to realize that this was some sort of remake/sequel that started airing in 2005... in colour, too. :)

Now, I'm not usually into science fiction, laser guns and aliens, but I've always loved the subject of time travel, and the dialogues are fun, and the actors are cool. (Yes, I'm very much of a dialogue-junkie. I find it hard to write scenes that are not just a setting/background/excuse for dialogue!) And speaking of actors... John Barrowman will be showing up in season 3? Yum!

However, the show's somewhat hard to come by. :/ My portemonaiee isn't quite okay with Importing DVD-boxes from the UK, so I've got to make do with TV clips on the internet. (That's legal, right? Right? I think so.) Anyone know a good place to watch or download Dr Who?
Edit: ...Nevermind. watchdoctorwho.com/ works splendidly. (Streaming, and nice quality. Go ahead, try. :) )

dr who, good things, tv
