So I had my oil changed in my Scion a couple of weeks ago. The lady mentioned that it sounded like the bearing in the belt tensioner was going bad. I mentioned this to Rob we talked about and I took it to a local mechanic with a great rep. Turns out it not the tensioner but the water pump which upon failure could overheat and possibly fry my engine. My car is out of warranty by 10,000 miles.
I got the quote from the dealership and Magic Mechanic and it's going to run me almost $500. TOTAL CRAP... Oh well shit happens. I've had three years of perfect health from this car so no biggie especially considering it was at one point abou $500 a couple of months to keep the mercedes on the road.
So I tell the guy to get cracking and I double check my bank account to make sure I have the cheese. I do.
But while in there I notice a mysterious credit for $224. Who would be giving me $224? Well I scroll down and I see a e-pay deduct for $224 from my account to a JC Penny's credit card. Something I don't have but something my mother does. She's been on the account since I opened it in '97.
Well as it turns because my mother is so bloody irresponsible with money I PAID HER FUCKING CREDIT CARD BILL. She scheduled the payment, overdrafted her account because she didn't deposit her allowance from my stepdad before paying her bills and so the bill was paid for from MY ACCOUNT. Albiet without her knowledge and when she found out she promptly transfered the money back to me but still.
While she didn't PLAN this it's something that should never happen. She's bloody lucky I had the money in my account.
I called the bank and am requesting the paperwork to remove her.
This is the kind of shit that should never happen.
I've been the adult since I was 9. I shouldn't be surprised.
