Yep. It was 9/13/93 and David Letterman had been KICKED OUT of the hot seat as Conan O'Brien took over Late Night and completely "enthralled the world" ( just as Watership Down the movie had done back in 1978 ;) ). Anyway, I've really got nothing to say, nothing new to report. I got college happening and . . . yeah, that's it. Hope things are going ( Read more... )

I think it's amazing he got anywhere. Before Late Night, he wrote for SNL and appeared on the show with a minor role every time. He wrote 4 episodes of The Simpsons ('New Kid on the Block,' 'Marge vs. the Monorail,' 'Homer Goes to College' and 'Tree House of Horror IV: The Simpson's Halloween Special IV'). He produced a show called 'Lookwell' about a retired actor who played a cop on TV that solves crimes in real life that never made it past the pilot. Yet he beat David Letterman out of a job! LETTERMAN! They essentially gave his job up to a nobody, Conan O'Brien. HA HA! I think it's all very humorous . . . but awesome at the same time. 12 years and counting. GO CONAN! I shouldn't make him out to be some loser, though. He graduated magna cum laude (that's among the best, I think) in his class at Harvard University and got a BA in History & Literature.

I don't know how many people know but he's leaving Late Night in 2009. He'll be taking over The Tonight Show (Jay Leno's job) that year. So basically just Conan at an earlier time, nothing to worry about. But we've got a while until then . . .

This concludes his mini-biography, heh heh. ;)
