A flatmate and I watched Underworld last night and I was...pleasantly surprised! I mean yes, it's the kind of movie that's an excuse for things to explode, for folks to shoot and wave swords at each other but...Lucien! Selene and Michael! Viktor! The rules that govern the Lychen and vampire societies! Is there fanfic?
(I nitpick, however, at the lack of female lychens. Why are they a guy-only club? Although I can buy that there might be a hidden coven of female Lychens hidden somewhere, away from the guys until they er...want each other's company).
In other news, I am very, very psyched for Tim Sale's and Darwyn Cooke's run on Superman. :D There's cartoony art like Ed Benes, and then there's Tim, whose art may also be toonish and stylized, but is nostalgic, and very, very pretty.(Although I wish Tim didn't give Superman a squint-eyed look, to distinguish him from his Clark persona.) And I can't wait to see Darwyn's take on Clark.
