A lot can happen in a couple of months, I have a new job (a really great new job), and a new car (a really really great new car), and I'm back living with grandma. Life is good for The Nomi at this juncture. I miss seeing Patricio every day, I cant wait until we're able to get our own place together. I miss my smelly boy and my smelly cat.

Well I finally made it down to "the site" yesterday with my sister and dad. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was excited. It was very powerful to see native people gathered and united. We walked right up to where the gravel piles are in the front and just sat staring back at the silhouettes outlined by the McDonald's and Tim Horton's signs. ( Read more... )

The instructor from my final course just retired from the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian, and he gave me some contact information, he seemed pretty keen on me contacting this guy.
