Madly rush to finish selection criteria for Western Australian Public Hospital Graduate Nurse Programs.

1513 - Submit application to Graduate Nurse Connect. Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital listed as first preference for graduate nurse program.

Relief that I have submitted selection criteria that makes me feel employable. Mum checked and agreed I had addressed the criteria. Await interview and offers.

1530 - Mission Impossible forms. Contact Rover Crew chairman.

1600 - Limit sensory stimulation. Rest in bed to prepare for a night shift.

1900 - Get out of bed

2100 - Night shift on the Neurosurgical ward begins.

Saturday 9 July 2005

0715 - 10 hours later night shift finishes.

* Helped dad collect gas stove (soon the sitting room will be warm, just need to call the plummer to install the gas)

* Trousers and jeans (with subtle fake damage) taken up.

* Got down to Rovers.

* My mum got me to open the bottle of Campbells Rutherglen Tokay. Drank Tokay with bread and butter pudding. Delicious, perfect for a cold winter night.

* Epistaxis - blood from nose sucks.

* It is over 24 hrs since I last slept. Should do. Further sleep deprivation not indicated. Normal wake/sleep cycle will resume on Sunday morning.
