I'd forgotten how bad 4th and 5th seasons are. Now I remember why I hesitated buying them for so long (I resisted until I got them both for $30 total). Fourth season is heartwrenching. I've been meaning to tell you this, but I kept forgetting until now. Did you hear that Cybil Sheppard (sp?) is going to be guest-starring on Psych as Shawn's mom?

OH no i'm so upset again . Just reading your post and not even seeing these episodes for a long time gets me so MAD! Yes there are some great episodes still in Season 4 and some good ones in season 5 but mostly UGH! The end especially which i know you havent gotten to see yet again. Please rant more once you get around to finishing season 5. I know it's hard to get through those episodes. I can't stand what PODDavid and Evil Cousin A***E did to Maddie. Yes Maddie is PODMaddie also! Love the POD term! I honestly believe if Glenn was still there no of it would have happened. The writers who were left didnt care about the characters or the fans of the show for that matter. I hardly ever watch those episodes . Seasons 1-3 are just so amazing! How did it go so wrong! I thank god for Fanfic though :)

Oh, I will. It will probably start off something like "WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO TO MY SHOW!?"

Overall I agree with you. It has a different tone, and buy the end is clear the kids are wearing Cybill out, and Bruce wants to move on with his movie career, regreting signing that 5-year contract.

Though there are several episodes in season 4 I think are just brilliant, finest of the series (Maddie Hayes Got Married, Eek! A Spouse!, And the Flesh Was Made Word). Not the same setting as season 1-3, it's more dramatic and serious, but I love it.

Yeah, Amy SP left GG and Glenn left ML after having created some sort of monster only they knew in their heads how they would solve it, and we never got to find out.

Once they were back in the same room together, things were much better in fourth season. There were some classics. I really like Maddie Hayes Got Married. It was dramatic and serious; not as funny, but still them. And they weren't as sad as they were early on. It wasn't ideal, but it was still good.

For some reason, I give Glenn more slack than Amy in leaving. I feel that Amy destroyed her show whereas Glenn leaped from the sinking ship.
