Passionfruit (Nevermore)

Frisbee games played out on the quad,
Long discussions about the nature of God.
There were silent football games,
We were still learning each others' names,
When they played The End of the World,
When I waved good-bye to my Brown-Eyed Girl,
And American Pie, Leaving on a Jet Plane,
Nevermore will I come back again.

She was buying a Stairway at Casino Night.
We held each other as we watched the prizefight.
All those times we went Nightswimming;
It was so much fun, it was just beginning.
We had mandatory Fun in the Sun;
The memories still make my eyes run:
The Freshmen, Leaving on a Jet Plane,
Nevermore will I come back again.

We'll drink the passionfruit
And gather round.
We'll tell true stories
As we drink it down.
We'll drink the passionfruit
Before the new day's dawn.
We'll celebrate together
Until we can't go on.
Oh, the passionfruit is bittersweet;
It only happens once, we're so unique.
We have to say good-bye to these old friends.
This is where the passion ends.
We cannot go back again.

All those rapid-fire games of cards,
Laughing and giving away our Hearts.
The joy we felt; no longer alone,
For three weeks a place that was our home.
I felt no shame in front of anyone
Till summer went on, like a Blister in the Sun,
Like Istanbul, Leaving on a Jet Plane,
Nevermore will I come back again.

aww that made me smile :)

still doing work. i love my friends. definitely study partying all night. it's after 2 .. we just came back from dunkin donuts.
