baby names

I’m not hoping to have a baby any time soon, but of course I am already picking out baby names. Here they are:
Bella - my first girl
Samuel (Sam) - my first boy
Evelyn - 2nd girl (and though I like the name better, Eleanor would be too funny - I wouldn’t do that to my child)
Benjamin (Ben)
Andres/Andrew/Andy - 2nd boy, we probably won’t have the bunny anymore by that time so it would be alright

After that I don’t know. We’ll decide together.

The weather has warmed up a little, so that’s good news for me - I was able to ride my bike to work today. I’m not sure yet about the trip home - it’s gotten kind of wet and rainy. I don’t care so much that it’s raining as long as it’s not freezing out.

It’s Monday, and I don’t know where my weekend went. Friday night we went out to Moody’s Pub (has nothing to to with Moody the school) with Brian’s brother Greg and his new girlfriend, Kate. The freaky thing is that see, back in the high school days, Kate had a huge crush on Brian. I mean, this thing was probably monumental. People still say, “Kate? You mean the girl that had the crush on Brian?”

But Kate’s friend-of-a-friend, Laura, snatched up Brian and started dating him instead - at the time. So, years later, Brian is married and Kate is dating his brother. She is a sweet girl, though. She's a teacher’s assistant for a kindergarten downtown and also works at Caribou with Greg. She’ll be a great girl for Greg, if he can manage to keep her.

So, Moody’s. Good burgers, good beer, great hot toddies. Kate and I each had one so we were warm and cozy.

Saturday I painted in the apartment behind ours - at $20 an hour, I’ve made $80 so far and I’m planning on painting a few more hours tonight. On Saturday I also went to the library to check out some books on graphic design and got groceries. At night the boys (Greg & Kenny) came over for a while.

Sunday I sang in church choir and Brian accompanied us with his guitar - he played beautifully. We had a good brunch with some other young people at the music minister’s house. In the afternoon we went to Brian’s parents’ to chill and that night participated in a worship service.

Afterwards we got pizza with Brian’s dad. It was a long day, and at the end of it I was just at the end of myself. A busy weekend bookended by busy, lonely weeks. Blah. I can’t articulate how I feel sometimes, and I definitely couldn’t say what was wrong with me last night.

And now we’re back to Monday. Rainy days and Mondays always get me…
