My Life (with jokes?)
I guess I wasn't paying attention to the world a while back (ok, really, this isn't news) and so I found out some news late.
Al Franken has a new book out. "The Truth (with jokes)" Hear Al discuss it via amazon. You know that you want to... Come on... Don't be part of the vast right wing cabal and neglect Al's book. ( What Do You Mean You Don't *Like* Jokes or Truth? Loser. ) I won't add another link here, but you can check out the book itself at amazon as well. This is one thing I will probably be asking for for the holidays.
On a very different note: I was watching High Fidelity when my mother decided she wanted to watch James Earl Jones in a Hallmark channel movie (aka more cheese than is in all of wisconsin). I like James Earl Jones (Luke... I am Your Father. No... You're not bi-racial. It's... Very confusing.) but I'd much rather watch John Cusack in something much less cheesy.
Last Few things: Will have belated birthday cake tonight. I know. My family makes no sense. Fitting, isn't it? Also, I've started mentally compiling the list my father asked me to make... Just I have no idea how I'll really do all the things on it, and It's only just begun. Just found out Adam Schlesinger (bassist for FoW) produced some of the songs on TMBG's mink car. I love factoids like that! And I think Jon Brion who produced stuff for fiona apple and Rufus Wainwright also produced stuff for E. Daaaamn, that's cool. Now a question: what do people know/think of The Apples in Stereo?
