Happy Saturday Sighs *bounces*
Today's been a lovely day so far :)
Been out to the farmer's market with the rents and i think we all managed to enjoy ourselves. it's rare that Dad would go, but go he did. It's nice when you can banter back and forth with your parents and everything feels comfortable (this time it was dad commenting he was the insipient beast of burden this morning, to which i replied, "so does that mean we should get you a name tag?" he chuckled and mom then looked up and said with a grin, "i assume that laughing is at my expense?" Normally, it would have been ;) Mom never seems to catch the joke, but for once it wasn't about her.) We got buncha produce including some very pretty zuchinis and gorrrrgeous blackberries. Had lunch at the market as well (mmmm felafel and couscous!) Got to talk to jeni and congratulated her on total organic dairy in all her ice creams! :D she's so cool. Honestly, I can respect someone that's gone into business because they love a product so much and are dedicated to artisan production. She's also so responsible about wanting to support organic dairies. I hardly ever wear t-shirts anymore, but I might buy one of hers at some point. She's that kick ass.
Went to library and picked up buncha cds i had on reserve... old stuff pretty much :) some XTC, fugazi and such. I hope they get the dvd of levity in soon :) they don't have the cd (which is sad cause E did all the music for it! :D) Also got jonathan ames' "Wake Up Sir!" I have to say this is funny, funny stuff. Think Wodehouse but jewish, in new jersey, and neurotic -- jeeves included. I'm loving it so far. Sat outside in the sun reading but came in before pale self could become toasted self ;)
finished watching season one of MI-5 last night. I was so excited that Hugh laurie had been in it! Had no clue :D twas happiness in a box-set. At the last episode tho with the cliffhanger here was my reaction: @_@!! no!! nonono, crap! (the last crap was cause of the cliffhanger.) I need to go get season 2 :D and for a couple moments i actually admit to thinking, "hrmm... i might be wrong. he might just make a passable darcy. not wet-shirt-colin-firth-good but you know, maybe he'll be ok :)
on top of it all: it's a good hair day.
