39 days and counting!
I'm back! It's been a while since I was here last. In that time I've come to realize that my novel last year sucked. I realized just how bad I am at keeping blogs. I also wrote a kick-ass essay that my teachers encouraged me to turn into a series.
So can you guess which one I'll be writing about this year? If you guessed the essay, you're right! Last semester I wrote an essay on the element iron, but it wasn't very serious. It was more about this guy who was part of a group called the Knights of the Periodic Table, a group of scientists who encourage people to learn science. I learned earlier this evening that I am not the first person (nor the third or likely even fifth) to have such a group. But my premise is distinctly different from the other works, so I see no harm.
My goal this year is to write this in chapters. The past few years I have tried to break up my novel by day, but that hasn't worked. I've been too laid-back with my methods. This year I am going in with a clear plan and few characters, but better developed. Hooray!
In the time since I last posted:
+ I got a second piercing in each ear
+ I was stupid and nearly crashed my bicycle into a school bus
+ I turned 17
+ I got a boyfriend
+ I got a job (same day as the boyfriend)
+ I dumped my boyfriend
+ I quit my job (because I moved away)
+ I moved 1,000 miles away and now live in Idaho
+ I started my senior year of high school!
Things have been going well for me, overall. I hope to actually keep up with my blog this year, so there should be many new posts! I would also like to post my character descriptions, so those may be popping up. Or not. I'm pretty swamped with homework right now, so who knows.
