I know the heart of life is good

Since being back I haven't really had the motivation to update anymore.  Maybe it's that I'm busy, maybe it's that I'm out of practice on here.  Who knows.

And even now I don't feel like updating.  I'm still trying to get back into the swing of school which is actually proving to be rather difficult.  I'm still on vacation mode.  I really need to get motivated, but I don't know how.

I applied for an internship with the Governor's office.  I feel like I have a good chance of getting it, so I'm excited to find out if I'll have better plans than the City of Boise for this summer.

Last night we had a showing of Invisible Children which is a movie that draws attention to the situation in Darfur and Sudan and Uganda.  It's some heavy stuff and the movie is still on my mind.  I felt more ready this time since I've seen it before, but it's still never easy to see.  I can't help but think about how much racism plays a role in the fighting.  It's amazing to think that genocide has been going on there for 19 years and yet we have done very little to put an end to it.  I wonder what we would have done if those being killed and displaced were white.  I can garentee we would have done so much more.  Anyway, there's a benefit concert next Monday and I got tickets to go, so I'm excited about that.  The guy was explained to be like Jack Johnson and John Mayer which are my two favorite artists, so I immediately bought tickets.  And we're also planning a trip to Seattle at the end of April for a "Displace Me" demonstration.  I think it'll be hella awesome.
