About Me: I'm just a peon at ye old meat-packing plant (Tyson) for now but I'm aspiring to do something worthwhile with my writing OR art... Well both hehe. I aim high ;) I have an on and off desire to go to the School of Visual Arts in New York (NYC) for animation but I don't know if I will actually GO though I still want to move to the city for some crazy reason.
About My Journal: This is my personal journal which contains a lot of random stuff, memes, announcements about writing I have done/will do, some emo stuff (thankfully it's dwindled into almost nothing), real life crap... Yadda yadda.
For my writing journal, you need to go here: cruentomusa. It's pretty new so there's not a whole lot there right now but I'm working on it.
What I Write: I have two major works in my head right now which are in seperate journals, however they are by invitation only and I will extend that invitation to people who have gained my trust. Both are fantasy though one may turn into erotica hehe. I haven't decided yet. I also have other fantasy works in line (probably short stories) and horror stories/novels.
What's in my writing journal right now are prompts from a few communities I have joined. Any fics I write deal with original characters of mine (and friends) from the various role playing communities I am in. I love to role play but these fics don't get in my head very often and in fact, this one I wrote has been the only one thus far in the two years I've been involved.
What I Don’t Write: Slash though one of my books has lesbian characters in it but I'm not writing out any sex scenes they may get involved in. Just can't do it.
What I Read: Fantasy and horror mostly. I'll read romance if it involves vampires; I admit I have a fetish of sorts ;) I am in the process of collecting movies but not really books as there are a TON. I am, however, on the hunt for books that don't contain angsty main character vamps and I haven't found one yet. I also love mythology but sadly I haven't read much of that. I have a collection of dog books (training, breeding, breeds, health, etc), some fish books when I had fish, as well as other pet books and more recently guitar books (how to play)
What I Don’t Read: I generally don't read mystery though I did read one because it had a Doberman in it (my favorite breed). I think it was Orchid Beach or something. As I mentioned in the last part, I don't really read romance either unless it's supernatural. I also previously didn't read erotica but it has recently caught my interest because of one of my muses; he insists on this other fantasy book being erotica but we'll see hehe.
Favorite Authors and Books: Stephen King (The Dead Zone, The Dark Tower series), Piers Anthony (Blue Adept series and Mode series) and Anne McCaffrey (Dragonriders of Pern) come to mind. Other books/authors I like are Harry Potter, The Circle series (I don't recall the author right now), Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series (I haven't read past Obsidian Butterfly though, I need to get back into them) and probably others I'm missing.
Could I Edit Someone Else’s Work: I could try but I can't promise I'll get to it. I mean, I have am good with grammar and spelling but I hardly have the time for my own work so I promise nothing ;)
What I’m Looking For: Friends for both journals, I suppose it would probably help if they like to read the kind of stuff I write.
What I’m Not Looking For: Someone who would push their beliefs onto me (their religion, stance on abortion, animal rights, etc...you get the drill).
