I'm Hazel, I'm 25 and from a small town in the middle of England. This is my 5th post. I've just bought a new camera and decided to document my day when I finally got the 7th and last Harry Potter book. There is no spoilers in the pictures or text. My previous posts are here:
http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=hazeln&keyword=adayinmylife&filter=all This must be my "urgh, it's morning" face.
Not too bad as I get up an hour earlier than this during the week.
Toilet visit.
Check the DVD rental website to see if they've sent me any more Doctor Who yet but no luck. A disc I put in the post at work is either lost or being very slow. With both Doctor Who and Harry Potter I didn't pay any attention to them for ages, then decided to try them to see what all the fuss was about and decided that I rather liked them.
Mum reads the paper, Rocky the cat sleeps and I have breakfast.
Change my calendar to show Harry Potter day and take my anti-baby and high blood pressure pills.
Mum put this duvet cover on my bed for a joke while I was on holiday. It is nearly 20 years old and dates back to when my younger sister moved from a cot to a bed.
Dressed for the day and Rocky is still asleep.
It has been raining for the last 36 hours so Mum check the rain gauge.
Open the garage and say hello to my car and my parents. My new camera did a surprisingly good job of picking up the rain in this picture.
This corner always gets a big puddle when it rains.
Post some letters like a dutiful daughter. The one on top is to our plumber to pay a bill in case you are wondering.
My next stop is Tesco. The spire sticking out of the roof is the church that was there 200 years before Tesco.
Yay! I got it. Have a timecheck as well.
Arrive at Brian's house and park Daisy next to his car Bluebell.
Hello Brian. Note that it is still raining.
Go round the front to have a look at his river. The big brown puddle isn't supposed to be there. The river is meant to be behind the bushes.
Looking in the other direction.
Brian's house
Brian doesn't always use his computer in this position.
Brian leaves as I had plans to read the whole book in one day.
The time when I started reading.
This was supposed to be a timecheck for when I had lunch but the flash washed out the clock and the page I was on in the book.
My lunchtime food.
Got to have liquid.
Checked on the flood level from upstairs and it hadn't changed.
Another toilet break.
Checked my friends page.
Brian returned and looked at the flood.
I finished the book at 4:43. Brian wouldn't let me take any pictures of what happened next so it will have to be left to your imagination.
Brian didn't want me to leave.
He still didn't want me to leave.
Brian did eventually let me pass and took this picture of me.
Timecheck when I got in my car to drive home.
When I get my own house I'm getting an electric garage door opener. Until then, I have to open it myself.
I found Rocky sleeping/on guard.
Sally was in the middle of whiniing to Mum that I was taking a picture of her.
Dad is watching the Tour de France.
Rocky isn't very good at posing for photos.
Mum came out and posed with Rocky.
Sally is now in more of a posing mood.
Mum told me to take a photo of her flowers.
Sally grabbed my camera and took a photo of me preparing tea.
The finished result and more Harry Potter reading.
I went upstairs and found that Sally had been playing on my computer and had left her scrapbooking debris on the bed.
Brian has kindly sent me an Itunes code he won from coke.
I changed into pyjamas and read more Harry Potter.
What to read next.
Sally came in and read a Josh Groban messageboard.
I decided to start on Prisoner of Azkaban.
Mum turns up and tries to get me to solve the hard crossword clues that she is stuck on.
Calliope was the answer to one of them, courtesy of Google.
A last drink and more Harry Potter.
Brushed my teeth.
A final timecheck.
And a fake sleeping picture.
