CoE
I started writing again! Yeay! But I think I took too much on my plate, really... It's an essay concerning Tolkien's views on war as a solution to problems, a study of the movie in this light (is it true to the book?) and finally a look at the movies in the light of contemporary conflicts known as 'The War on Terror'. Ahum. So, perhaps I might need to narrow that down.
And I really want to start working on the Dummies, I have forty finished articles lying about, but I can't get in touch with Becky, and anyhow I seem to be the only one slightly enthusiastic about the whole project. Pisses me off really, because we get all this crap about how CoE is going down and no new content is being added, and I have all this stuff lying about and people were really enthusiastic about it... a year ago! Urgh. Whatever.
edit: This sounds too strongly. I'm not seething with rage, just disappointed.
So - think happy thoughts, Elke - I'm working on something again. Hope this works out. Anyone who can come up with interviews with Jackson, Boyens & Walsh about the theme of war; or of articles making the link between LOTR and the War on Terror, please please post the links! I'd be eternally (or close to it) grateful!
