Watched an episode of Chinese soap series that involves an MTF and lesbian relationship (as separate storylines). Except for a couple of inaccuracies (for example, a person can complete the whole sex change in 3 months!) and name usage, I'm suprised the whole storyline was handled well. The character whose supposed to be the expert has
got the name and pronouns right, very respectful to the MTF, and the MTF is not portrayed as a villain. Some struggles faced by the MTF are portrayed. There is no typical "Hong Kong Hollywood style conversion". Best yet, the MTF is played by a bio-female. The lesbian relationship is portrayed in an acceptable manner too(struggles/difficulties/coming out is portrayed, no villains although one of the parties is sometimes a little
unreasonable in the story).

Although they are not perfect, it's good to start seeing the mainstream media in Hong Kong have storylines about these topics, and that they are potrayed somewhat positively.

I feel like I'm growing. Not physically, but mentally. In my previous self, I feel the need to always need to look young (and indeed I look young even as my birth sex) in order to pass. So my wardrobe is all skater-boy, baggy pants, preppy at best. Now, as I'm getting more comfortable as myself as male, I started to dress as a more mature guy, like a twenty-something dude. The style has changed to a more stylish-casual than just "T-shirt
casual" (I don't know how to describe this style, but a lot of twenty-something Italian guys here sport this style). The change will probably also serve as a preparation for my physical changes brought along by T (T will probably help me look older). I'm looking forward to the big milestone.
