There's not much I can do for the type of kid who runs into trees. Try the special camp down the road, I hear they supervise them with crayons.

There are a lot of trees out there, and it's dark. How are you going to judge? If someone doesn't get a black eye from a tree branch, then it's not a successful hike. It's the same philosophy you apply to canoeing: if someone doesn't capsize, then it was a wasted trip.
