isengar_took, my twelfth-born, my youngest, my little baby,
has returned from the sea at long, long last.
Thank goodness he's been keeping up with his laundry. I can't imagine how big a laundry bag he'd need otherwise.
Sennie, my darling lad, welcome home to Great Smials. We have missed you so.
Hmm. Food. The sea has no mushrooms. I don't suppose you have any?

All the kinds you could wish! And I'm going to run down to the market and get more because we are going to have a party at Great Smials to welcome you home! How's tonight? Or is that too soon?

Oh, Mother! I've missed you! And the rest of the family - I can't wait to see them. I think I'll write a haiku for the occassion, if you think that would be all right.

Why, darling boy! *pats his cheek* When is there not a good time to write haiku? *smiles at him fondly* Your father would be so proud!

Do you really think he would? *beams*

Oh, of course.
Well, we're just going to have to have a party tonight so everyone can greet you properly!
And look! *takes him by the hand and drags leads him down the hallway* There's your little room, just how you left it! See? We always knew you were coming home! And guess who gets to finally clean it after all these years! You!!! :D

*stares at room* Well, at least it's stable and larger than the one on the ship. I wonder if my hamster is still there. Mom, what did you do with my hamster?
And did you know there's Jello about?

Hamster? Why, I don't remember a hamster, dear. Perhaps one of the little Tooks has it.
Is there? And just in time for our party too. How convenient! Someone must have been expecting you!
