UNCONVINCED

The man who owned the clothing store
next to the gas station looked at my résumé, 
but continued speaking
about all the people who tried to steal from him over the years.
He asked me if I had confidence, I told him that I could
act confident, and that I wasn’t sure if there was a difference.
