So yesterday was dark and rainy weather wise. This morning followed suit. I left work around two-ish and hit up the fast food cafeteria for lunch. Then I hit my house and the CD I was waiting for was waiting in the mailbox. Anxiously I ripped the envelope open. Indeed burried in the menilia hell was a CD of pure
Mexican Vacation. The new Roger Clyne CD was in my possession. Suddenly the skies got brighter (I'm not speaking figuratively it actually did brighten up for a couple hours). I gave the CD a listen and then started watching the included DVD, while watching which Pat came home and asked me if I couldn't go one day without seeing my man crush. I told him I could indeed go a day without seeing him, but since I got the CD/DVD that day I was going to watch it. He couldn't argue with the logic, so I watched the rest of the DVD and I'm still forming my opinion about the disc.
It seems that this CD is more heading towards an east mexico rather than a west mexico that the band has shown us before. That's not a bad thing, it's just different. There are old feelings there still and even a call back to 10 years ago towards the song Mexico, and the disc is produced by the same fellow that produced Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy.
