Back in that Omaha saddle again...

Spent a couple good days in Columbus, and am now back in the comforting arms that consider themselves my home and my own sheets. They know me well.

Lately I've been looking into what to do beyond graduation. The outlook is not necessarily bleak. oxlajujimox suggested that the Social Security Agency has plenty of jobs opening up, even suggesting Seattle as a place of residence which I have pondered before, since I've visited there once and it seemed a decent place all told from my three days spent mostly in gyms and less than one day spent outside. However the city of Seattle or even the state of Washington doesn't have any current job openings in the area of the Social Security matters. However, the great state of Arizona does, have a couple job openings in that area of government agency. However I start looking at these jobs and they pretty much seem to be inbound telemarketing jobs, except you're working for the government. However looking at the SSA's web page pointed me to WWW.USAJOBS.GOV which I believe lists most government jobs. Which a quick perusal leaves me quite quizzical at what I would want to do for got government. I'm not sure this is going to show up right, but 65k/yr to me would seem to be a good pay day for a archeologist. That and I'm not exactly sure what the Army Corps or Engineers has to do with archeology aside from desecrating Native American graves but who knows. Then I see a Librarian job that earns around 100k a year with the USGS and I wonder what's up. Granted that's way up there, just makes me wonder if I should have majored in library studies. Perhaps I should apply for one of the Historian positions listed. Yes, that's the lowest paid one listed, the other is twice that pay rate. Lordy alive.
