I could really relate to your feelings of frustration when Rex wouldn't stand still for you. What is it about horses, especially, that bring up so many strong emotions in us ( ... )

And once they start doing things like that, it's hard not to think every single thing they do that's weird is their illness. (or at least that was how I was with James).

Zolar is coming with. It'll be fun to watch him WTF with us doing pilates things while on a horse. :)

I'm not a horse person, but from this post I'm seeing horses have their own opinions. It is almost like dealing with a person.

You are not an asshole. You are a good person who thinks about her actions and wants to improve.

Yes, they are like really big 3-5 year old children.

Rex is a dream. He is so patient and kind when the person on top is nervous. Will definitely give him a scritch. :)

It can be so frustrating when you KNOW they should KNOW how to do something. More so than when they're clearly scared/unsure/whatever. I sometimes struggle with the line between letting them win or walking away to calm myself down if I've gotten frustrated with them.
