The Last Witch Hunter, and etc.

I rented this from Amazon tonight.

And, overall it was pretty good. There was a little bit of a Sleepy Hollow feel (and a tiny smudge of Jack Harkness), with him being kind of out of time, and remembering his deceased wife and daughter often. (although they've been gone 800 years, and he still remembers them so clearly? a little weird, but I'll go with it.)

Had some good characters. Alfred, er Michael Caine in it, who's always good. I do like Vin diesel. Didn't believe so much when he was in the period garb-looks wise, but present time was very good. And the little witch that he befriended was very cool.

They had a good baddie, and a nice slight twist at the end.

Also, the music was very good. The song to start out the credits was a cover of Painted Black that I really liked.

On IMDB it says there is a 2 in development, but it's not on Vin Diesel's page. huh. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing another one.

You know, the Fixer Upper people are pretty cool, and they do a great job. But, I really don't like that country farm style. Also, hate ship black. Hate. Looks like a barn. That still needs to be worked on. No. Just no.
(aaaand, just googled it because I don't quote understand what they say-it's ship*lap.* Still hate it. *nods*

I spend most of Saturday and a bit of Sunday cleaning my toilet in the tack room. It's a peat moss composting toilet that I got used (for realz, but I knew the people who had bought it new, and it was hardly used. also, they're very expensive new) to put in my barn because I have a bladder the size of a pea. It is for places where there's no or very difficult access to water or sewer lines.
When properly maintained and used, it works great and doesn't smell.
I hadn't cleaned it in a while. A long time. But! I don't use it very often. Also, it took me a while to find a good source of peat moss. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Yeah, took me several hours. Next time, when I clean it with proper timing, it should only be the work of less than an hour.
And I frakked up my neck while doing it. Hurt like a bitch until I saw my chiro today. Joy.

My lesson today involved me riding Zolar while K rode Rex. Poor confused and abused horses. lol
Turns out Rex really does need more working on counter canter before we can bitch to him about changes again. We're pretty sure he knows how, but is a bit too weak/cranky/lazy to do it. And he does look really pretty when he gives in and goes like a good boy. :)

With Zolar we were working on not falling into the down transitions. So I worked on keeping him up in front. Then she had us do shoulder ins, which confused him for a second (at first, I thought he was being difficult, but when I did it at a walk and showed him, he figured it out and remembered how to do it. Poor confused baby).
I think the next little while will be transitions and lateral work. He seems to really like that.
