Why: Before leaving for a week-long vacation Genis entrusted the Guild in Ruca’s hands. Of course, the paperwork is nothing for him, but meeting with new people/some members of Ad Libitum might be quite a problem for a timid bookworm...

All of the paperwork for today was done long time ago, but nevertheless, Ruca looked through all the papers once again, just to make sure, he didn’t miss anything. He frowned slightly at his own, not-so-neat handwriting, silently wishing he could do something about it.
And actually, what was he even doing here, sitting behind the desk of the guild leade? Well... Since Genis really needed a vacation, Ruca agreed to watch over the guild while he’s gone. Of course, he was well aware that it meant he’ll have to do all that paperwork Genis usually did for a whole week, but he didn’t mind that kind of work at all - it actually made him happy that he could be of some help.
But there was one little thing that scared him in all of this. The fact that he was a complete failure when it came to speaking with people. Of course, it was no big deal if it was someone he knew, but what if some completely knew people came here? What if they weren’t exactly friendly? And what if the townspeople would come to speak with the guild leader? Even thinking about that made him worried...
Also... Genis said Anise was suppose to help Ruca... He wondered where the girl may be now.
“...It’s going to be okay. Nothing bad can possibly happen in such a short amount of time... right?”
He really hoped everything will be okay.
