Not that there's anything wrong with being around people, but Gordon privately feels that having arranged matters with Dr. Crowe counts as his mandatory social interaction with people outside his immediate group for the day. As far as he's concerned, the best thing to do now is grab whatever relatively portable meal can be had for both him and Alyx and head upstairs; the last thing he wants is more people coming along to ask what's been going on, or how they've been doing.
