So, the Israeli convoy thing... Allow me to get this straight: The ship was in international waters. That means that no only does Israel have no jurisdiction, to the best of my knowledge, it also makes the ship Turkish territory (since it was under the Turkish flag).
ISRAEL. Are you TRYING to start a fucking war?
Let's not make a mistake: the ship was a blockade runner. If they had waited until it was in Israeli waters trying to violate the blockade they would have been within their rights to order it to stop, and board it if it did not. Yes, there is footage of the crew (presumably) defending the ship as the commandos land. There is also footage of people lying on the deck, with a loud speaker broadcasting surrender, and getting fired over. Guess which one is being played on loop in the news? Yes, that convoy was planning to violate the shit out of the blockade (which, uh, I would have been generally okay with, but anyway). If the government could have just waited until they had actually tried to do so, we wouldn't be having this problem.
