I'm finally going to write about Christmas even though it was over two weeks ago. I got mostly consumables and tech stuff. This is my last post from my trusty Lenovo computer as I am setting up the new HP computer I got for Christmas later today. I also got a new monitor, new speakers, a USB chip reader because the new computer doesn't have built in chip readers like the current one does. I also got a CD with a good antivirus on it which will be installed on my new computer and Mom's When I get them set up. I also got a new phone for Christmas and will set it up after I get the new computers up and going. I have to get all my contacts out of my old phone and write them down before migrating my number, minutes, and service days over to my new phone. Other than technology stuff, I got socks and consumables, a nice little leather book to put addresses and phone numbers in, and two cute bird figurines (a hummingbird and an owl.) Most of my consumables were of the bath soap and shampoo variety. I've used up one jar of bath salt already. The only edible I got was beef jerky, and I ate it on the trip to Pipestem Park. I also got one book, which I read during the trip and finished.
The trip to Pipestem was nice. I got my own room this year which had a king bed in it, and it was right next door to Mom and Dad's room. We had one dinner and two breakfasts in the hotel dining room where the whole family all got together, and the other dinner was at a nearby bbq place. We also played games with the family both nights, walked down by the lake, hung around the hotel, and I swam in the hotel pool. Unfortunately, not much of the candy we took got eaten because my dad's brother and sister both have false teeth, and I think his brother in law does too. They couldn't eat the caramels or the nougat because it would pull their teeth out.
On the way home, we stopped at a nice farmers market in Virginia, where Dad bought all kinds of candy that we don't need. He hid them when we got home because I've started a low-carb diet and can't have them. I've also started back to Bible Study this week, and we are going through Hebrews, which is a difficult book for me to understand.
I'm super draggy, and my body has rejected my pills so I am having a period right now. I feel terrible because of it, and I think I might have a cold too. I didn't get the nasty cough my parents have had, but my glands feel swollen, I have drainage, and I'm cold. I need the sun to come out and it to warm up. The sun was out yesterday, but it was cold.
family,
