Writer's Block: Tricky Questions

Jan 13, 2009 03:27

When I hear I need to talk to you.... my stomach drops a little. It's like right as you hit the top of the hill on a roller coaster and it begins to travel letting gravity come back into play. My heart skips a beat usually while my mind tries to figure out what the talk will consist of. I 'til this day remember the first real we need to talk convo. It was with my mother and I feel like it was yesterday; hands clamy, heart skippin almost every other beat, mind racing, ect. I had just told her literally the day before something life altering for me at the age of 9 and she had dismissed it. Then wham, the next day she goes "I need to talk to you Nas...." and I sink. Not knowing that in a few years I'd be tall enough to ride roller coasters and grow to love this uneasy feeling of pain that this conversation brought. What can I say, I became a fan of this pain, sadistic sort of but not really.
