Some things I really like about my life/Paris:
-Riding my bike 20km south of Paris for a job interview (i.e. way out in the boondocks) and having the internal bearings on my rear wheel just self-destruct. Having to spend 3 hours walking with my bike on my shoulder because I couldn't even roll it. A real blast.
-Having beers, fries and steak haché on a 9th floor balcony on a nice night.
-The fact that I have no real idea how many people are going to show up at our party tonight. I.e. I don't know if it's going to be just 20 or 50....
-The fact that I finally am on Vacation for 2 weeks and I have NOTHING PLANNED. Looking forward to just biking around, and catching up on a lot of stuff I've not had the chance to do in ages (reading, museums, writing, chillaxin').
-Blossoms of days to come. Finally the green and occasional pink tree is starting to match the grays, blacks and browns. Paris is starting to look alive again.
-The constant confusion, delirium and doubt hasn't faded, but become bolder.
-James Baldwin
-Outdoor markets. Nuf said.
-Being who I am and really stepping into the aesthetic comfort zones of Parisians. Wearing hot-pink t-shirts to class, biking in a wife-beater with my bag and chain strapped to my back. Yelling at taxis, biking with homies, laughing at Joe, Ted cooking me dinner, smiling.
-Andrew Bird is coming in 2 weeks.
-Friends. Impec
