I have insomnia. For the past week, no joke, I've been lying in bed for at least three hours talking my head off to my sister trying to make myself fall asleep. She ends up falling asleep before me and I'm lying there in the dark, fidgeting and trying to sleep. I close my eyes and I'm tired but I don't fall asleep and end up opening them, knowing that I won't be sleeping any time soon. Maybe my holiday sleep pattern of sleeping at 2-3 AM and waking at lunch time has done some damage. I'm reading a website on insomnia and under "What can I do to sleep better?" it says "use your bed only for sleep and sex". Haha.

I think my insomnia has been caused by a mixture of ugly sleeping patterns and a habit of staying up worrying, thinking and talking.

Help me get to sleep! Rub my tummy, wiggle my toes, smoke myself to sleep, green cows. What strange remedies for getting to sleep.

On Thursday Sung and I headed to Maroubra for a lazy day at the beach. Stayed for a couple of hours and went back to his house for a PS2 fix until William came. On Friday, instead of heading to the gym, I made my way to Sung's since he had a headache. Aww. Spent Saturday and Sunday lazing around at home eating and going to the gym.

Today I woke at 11AM since someone was calling and my sister NEVER picks the phone up. Stayed awake until midday and went back to sleep. Woke up at 2PM to watch The Young and the Restless (man, I love this soap opera!), ate, and now I'm sitting here, waiting for my sister to go to the gym with me. What a life. Eat, gym, TV, eat. Notice that "sleep" is missing from my life equation.

Tomorrow I'm going to watch Flushed Away with Sung since it's cheap Tuesday (hopefully he remembers that we had plans for tomorrow). Will probably drop off my resumes at a couple of stores since my budget indicates that I don't have enough money for everything I want. My two-hours-a-week job isn't getting me by. With the holiday coming up, I need to pay for that, I also need a new bikini, new jeans, a haircut before uni begins (how exciting!), some more clothes and maybe another pair of shoes.

So tired.

Come on guys, give me some constructive advice. Strap on your doctor caps and help me get to sleep.
