Library Thing

I had to pass this cool book networking site along to my LJ friends. I first ran across it in a Boing Boing blogpost here. It's called Library Thing, and it's basically a site where you can create an online catalog of your books, then see what other people have who also own a particular book, ratings, reviews, etc. It's really easy to use. To add books you just punch in the author or title and it searches Amazon and other libraries. It has so far come up with all my entries (even the obscure band books) on the first page of results. I would have put this up sooner but after it was posted on Boing Boing and in the Wall Street Journal the site was dreadfully slow and almost unusable. It seems to be back to normal now. You can list up to 200 books for free, over that it's $10 a year or $25 for lifetime. I don't have many books listed yet, but I do have some of my most recent reads if anyone cares to see what's on my shelf.
