Bored. Supposed to be doing French. Waiting til 9 when cell phone minutes are free. All of these and more add up to the fact that i am doing a survey right now.
Oh PS, i didn't write about it before, but the DR musical was so awesome. I miss those kids so friggin much and i was so proud of them Saturday night. Best show since Conrad left, in my opinion (hahah even though I keep calling it Red, Hot, and Cole by accident).
1. So, what did you do all day?:
Went to Western Civ, watched Othello in the lab for my Shakespeare class, had lunch, went to said Shakespeare class, came home, tooled around online, took a nap, had dinner with Lori and Marie, came home and saw that the Sox lost, started doing this.
2. What is the most expensive thing you've bought recently?
I just paid $50 for a Sox bleacher ticket.
3. Last concert (or show) you attended:
Went to see the musical at DR on Saturday. It was fab. Last concert was Guster at Lupos...March 2, i think. They were wicked good, as always.
4. Coolest thing you've gotten in the mail lately:
I never get mail. I got a thing that said I made it into the Collegiate Honor Society at BU. Don't really know if that's a scam or not. You should send me mail! Liz Furze, Box #0019, 575 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, MA 02215!!!!
5. Describe your favorite artical of clothing:
Ummmmm....i dunno, I have a lot of favorites. I like my J Crew men's sweatpants a lot. Duane's mom got them for me because I wouldn't stop stealing his. I like my orange tapestry trenchcoat a lot. Basically all my cashmere sweaters cuz they are so amazingly warm and soft. My shirt from Saver's that says "True Freedom is a Monster Truck". My Chip and Pepper jeans. All my dresses because i love dresses.
6. Last video game played:
Super Smash Brothers, i think.
7. How many CDs do you have by any ONE artist or group?:
I have 9 Goo Goo Dolls albums. They are by far the band I have the most for....hahah that i actually BOUGHT. I have a LOT of Tori Amos songs but I don't think i actually purchased any of her albums...yeah, bad, i know.
8. What's for dinner?:
I had pork lo-mein, strawberry yogurt, and tuna. It was really random but there wasn't really anything that great in the dining hall tonight.
9. Do you have any collections?:
I used to collect TONS of stuff when I was younger. Glass animals, Beanie Babies, tea sets, Christopher Radko ornaments...just tons of shit. I don't really anymore. I collect tickets from events that I've been to. Old notebooks and stuff from school. Basically anything i can look back and remember/laugh at later on.
10. What was the last board game you played?:
Probably Risk a few weeks ago.
11. Who won?:
Nobody, we never finished. I had never played before so Duane was pretty much playing for me but we got our asses handed to us.
12. Do you subscribe to any magazines?:
I have a subscription to Rolling Stone that i did not order. I think I somehow won it in a contest but I can't be sure. It might have been the MTV Blogging for AIDS thing.
13. Last movie you saw at a theater:
This German film called The Lives of Others. It was SO hard to understand, and not because it was in German. It was just wayyy too intellectual for me...I mean, I don't think I'm dumb, but it was just too much politics and stuff.
14. Last movie you watched at home:
Silence of the Lambs. Such a good movie.
15. Do you have any special traditions only you or your family does?
Hahah not really tradition, but we make fun of my dad a wicked lot. I'm sure we have some cuz my family is wicked weird, but I can't really think of any right now. Oh yeah...every Christmas/Thanksgiving/Holiday where the whole family is there and we have a piano available, me and my cousins Jack and Jay play this song we wrote a few years ago. It's awesome.
16. What was the last thing you created:
I got out my colored pencils that i have neglected all this schoolyear and did some coloring.
17. Are you reading any books right now?:
just finished Othello, starting The Tempest tomorrow, reading La Place by Annie Ernaux, supposed to be reading Hard Times by Dickens but I have chosen not to haha. I'm not really reading anything not school related right now, but I want to read more this summer.
18. Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?:
When i was really little, I loved Bill and Pete, Mog and Bunnie, Make Way for Ducklings, If you Give a Mouse a Cookie, and the Henry & Mudge books. Later on I started reading Junie B. Jones, Barbara Park books, and Harry Potter. I was in LOVE with this awesome book called Gooseberry Park. I want to read it again!
19. What do you do when you can't fall asleep?:
Usually just flop around and think about random stuff. Sometimes I get up and watch TV or read, but very rarely.
20. Have you ever randomly bumped into a actor/actress/or other generally famous person on the street?:
Not that I can remember.
21. Are you more likely to read a book you've never read before if it's been made into a movie?:
Not really. But I don't read nearly as much as I would like to. I get excited when a book I like is being turned into a movie, like Revolutionary Road!!!
22. Have you discovered what podcasts are yet? Do you have a favorite?:
Yeah but I don't really like them that much. There's a Harry Potter one I've listened to a few times but I never really get into them.
23. What is your favorite kind of food that you only get to have once a year:
Eggnog and eggnog ice cream. Also, clam dip, but I get that a few times a year on select holidays.
24. What's that noise?:
Umphrey's McGee in my headphones.
25. Last dvd box set you bought?:
I don't think I've ever bought one. I want to get Degrassi seasons 2-4 though.
26. Are there any musical artists that you used to like but don't anymore because their style of music changed too much?:
Big time. The Goo Goo Dolls...their newest album sucks pretty bad. But I was listening to Big Machine really loud with all the windows down and singing along the other day and I realized that I still love their older music. Tori Amos' new stuff sucks now too, but her newest album sounds like more of a return to her fun, weird self.
27. Are there any covers you think are better than the original?
Yeah...Gary Jules' cover of Mad World, the Lemonhead's version of Mrs. Robinson, Sarah McLaughlin's version of Blackbird.
28. What food(s) do you go to the store for ASAP when you run out?:
Lawlz I don't buy groceries. Milk is the thing I most often get asked to go get though.
29. Isn't there another appropriate response for "I love you" besides "I love you, too."?:
Sometimes i just say "i love you" in return instead of "i love you, too." It's less of a response and more of a mutual assertion that way. However, sometimes just a look and a smile says it all.
30. Last new artist that you listened to and really liked:
The Reindeer Section
31. Last new one you hated:
I don't really listen to the radio and I don't download songs I hate, so I don't really know.
32. In which country do you wish you'd been born?
None, really, because if I had, I wouldn't have ever known all the people in my life that mean so much to me. If i had to choose, I think either France, England, or Ireland.
33. When was the last time you were scared shitless?:
It's been awhile. Maybe last May when Mikala tried to drive down Wheeler Street at midnight and I FREAKED out.
34. Do you like it when old ladies refer to you as "Dear", or "Hon", or "Sugar"?:
I HATE it when people call me 'hon'. HATE. I don't mind it when old ladies do it as much as I do when older men do it, because it's just a matter of female degradation at that point. I mean, old ladies call both boys and girls 'hon', but men only say it to women. But it's still annoying when old ladies do it. I only want you calling me by pet names if I know you on a personal level.
35. What is your favorite physical flaw:
My christmas tree shaped birthmark.
36. Share random fact about yourself:
I really like the smell of dry erase board markers.
37. What's the best field trip you ever went on?:
The Ernestina one in 7th grade was pretty cool. We got to ride on this wicked old Schooner and learn about all the old sailing techniques and we even got to steer the ship.
38. Have you ever dressed up for Halloween at work?:
No, I've never had to work on Halloween. We do give out candy at BBV though.
39. Do you have any clothes that you pilfered or inherited from your parents?:
I have earrings from my mom, that's about it.
40. How old is "old" to you?:
60-ish.
41. What was the last free thing you've gotten?:
Kisses!
42. What's your favorite black and white movie?:
Rear Window...or is that one in color? I can't remember. If not, then Streetcar Named Desire.
43. What color would you like to bleed?:
A vibrant shade of purple would be fun.
44. Do you know any Furries?:
haha no thank goodness...
45. If you have a wall calender, what kind is it?:
i have one at home for 2006 so it's not really valid anymore, but Cat gave it to me last year for my birthday or Christmas or something and it's all pretty black and white pictures of Paris.
46. Have you ever been to a convention?:
I went to a pet/animal convention at the RI convention center a looong time ago.
47. If you were to dress up as a musician, which one would you be?:
uhhhhhhhhhh hahah Dvid Bowie. Or Janis Joplin cuz she's such a hippy.
48. Do you have a thing about ruining new stuff by personalizing?:
Yeah I've done it. I used to massacre rulers, agendas, pencil boxes, notebooks, books, and all kinds of stuff when I was younger by writing and drawing all over them.
49. Ever have those moments when you realize that you somehow just cheated death?:
Not really? There have been a couple times when I came reeeaaaalllly close to getting into a car accident. Actually there was one time when I was crossing a 4-way stop intersection. I was turning left and some guy was coming from the direction I was turning and he was driving on the wrong side of the road and NOT braking for the stop sign. I slammed on my brakes and swerved and he didn't brake until he was almost right on top of me and I thought I was gonna die. He stopped a second but didn't get out or apologize or anything. Probably high or drunk or something.
50. Does it boggle your mind?:
Not really. I swerved and he missed me.
