Love this tutorial. I kinda changed it a little bit and used 2 different pictures but it's awesome. Saved to memories.

That's perfectly fine. This tutorial was meant to inspire, not to be copied. I'd love to see what you made, though. :)

Very nice!

You have to do different things with the Color Balance tool for each icon. I tried making one following the same tutorial that I just wrote and it looked horrible, all green and blue and nasty. I managed to get it to this, though:
