1. Attention Doctor Who fans...who also knit haha.

Knitpicks has a special Doctor Who sock yarn right now! It's the one called "Time Traveler" obviously. I think I need to get some even though I never ever finish a pair of socks. ETA: Yeah I just bought some, how could I pass that up ( Read more... )

Thank you! I still have no idea what the salary is or any of that jazz so I don't even know if I'll want it, but now at least I know my resume isn't horrible haha.

I really wish I knew how to knit whenever I see yarn and/or other people's stuff.

Wish I could come to your LOST party! As it is, I'll be watching alone, which is probably ok. I'll be flailing and yelling at the tv, and then wishing Daniel was there to hold me.

Knitting is really not as hard as it seems, I taught myself 5 years ago and I love it! You should give it a try, it's fun. And I totally just bought that yarn haha.

I'll be watching the finale alone (well, with the ongoing post) but I'm glad I could have a party the day before to help us all through it haha.

My sister basically taught herself and she tried to teach me but it was like I turned down-syndrome as soon as I held the needles. It amazes me what my sister can do, she's made so many cute things.

Good luck on the interview! (I, too, am in the midst of job-hunting.)

Aw thanks! I never thought I'd get the following I have, and now that the show's almost over I don't know what to do with myself. I'll figure something out, I have to keep that site going, I put too much work into it to just let it die now!

You can continue with your "Top Ten/Hundred" lists you've got going. They are really interesting, and still hilarious.

You'd think you'd have some hits from your recaps. Like some random executive reads them religiously and offers you a job as a wacky sitcom writer on your very own show called shitmydadsays Rachel's Recaps. Kinda like all those VH1 recaps only, you know, funny. lolburnvh1 That's the way the internet works right?

I don't want to talk about the end, it just deepens my depression.

I saw my first episode of Doc Who the other week. There was an endangered star whale and evil clown faces involved. Are they all like that?

LOL oh my god the star whale and the evil clown faces hahaha no no they're not all like that - sometimes they are silly and funny and sometimes they are weird (i.e. star whale/killer clowns) and sometimes they are scary (find the episode from a few years ago called "Blink" and you'll see) but overall it's pretty damn awesome. The Doctor changes (his body changes, and his personality sort of changes, but he's still the same guy technically) and his companions change, so people have their favorites. I like this new guy so far ( ... )

Lesson One: ALWAYS ANSWER THE PHONE!

LOL iCarly really?

I think your dream of being a clip show writer is probably WAY more probable that my dream of being a wacky travel writer, for what it's worth.

I shall have to check out some more DW then. I recently found out that one of my oldest friends is into DW. Maybe I can pick up a new fandom since I'm losing my biggest and oldest fandom this Sunday *sobs*

Dude I am obsessed with iCarly. Have you ever watched it? Half the time it's cheesy and what you'd expect but it's actually really funny sometimes and I used to hate that I watched it, but now I don't even care LOL I WATCH ICARLY AND I LOVE IT.

Although I could totally write those jokes. It's meant to be.

If only you could make your annual family reunions into a book or a blog or something I'm sure people would LOVE IT. I tell people about those posts all the time LOL they slay me.

If you do get into Who, I highly recommend going back to the first "new" season when Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor. There's a lot of things that pop up again and again, so even though you technically don't have to watch it from the beginning, it would make it all the more enjoyable. It was Eccleston for 1 season, then David Tennant (guh) for 3, and now we have a new guy.

Looooooooooooooost ;_; I am seriously going to bawl my fucking eyes out.
