Not just Bubba. I can't stand that she feels the need to explain everything and every character in EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. By Book 9 (which I haven't finished because I just lost interest somewhere in it), we don't need to be told that SOOKIE HAS MAGIC BRAIN POWERS. We remember, kthnxbai!

Yeah she explains the same things ALL THE TIME!! I guess the Elvis one irks me the most because it's almost always exactly the same explanation, word for word, and someone ALWAYS has to go, "So that explains the sitings!" like this is not the weirdest thing ever LOL. At least the brain powers descriptions get shorter with every book haha!

DUDE FINISH #9. I read it in 2 sittings. IT IS RIDICULOUS. Did you even get to the ~*ERIC*~ part? The entire second half is awesome, you'll finish it in like an hour haha.

I think the repetition comes from the publishing house/editors. It's a pretty common thing in mystery series books: they want people to feel they can read them out of order/not have to buy the whole series, but if the book is good people WILL read the whole series and the repetition just pisses the fans off.
