2. I had a dream last night that my good friend Gosia got killed in some ridiculous and horrible way, and it was so real and so scary and it was just the worst thing ever. But then it was all dreamy and bizarre, so I was baking cookies in her honor or something, and...I think Dobby was there LOL. I woke up totally depressed, and then I realized it was just a dream. I haven't had a dream that vivid in a long time.
3. Today's agenda involves going to the movies (we're seeing OotP...again haha) and then getting drunk while watching Buffy with Drennen. Tomorrow I'm hanging out with Matt. Last night I hung out with Lauran. Last weekend was spent with all of my friends. And the weekend before that. And the weekend before that. Next weekend I'm going to one of my old college housemate's wedding. I think I finally got my social life back haha. It's a nice feeling. I blame the lack of TV shows to watch and general persistance of my friends to get me to hang out. They love me, they really love me!
4. I've decided I hate the word "hank" of yarn. LOL Yesterday I decided to rip out this "sweater" I had attempted to make 2 years ago, and in order to be able to reuse the yarn I had to wind it into a hank and stretch it out and it was an itchy, smelly affair LOL. The yarn is alpaca, and it still smells like a freaking alpaca. Anyway...I have some knitting pictures.
So I finished Clapotis! Only problem? It's about half the size I'd like it to be LOL. I didn't realize that by making it less wide I'd also be making it much shorter, so now instead of a big cozy scarf I've got this little neckerchief thing. It's okay though, I'll wear it in the fall or something.
See, stretched out it seems pretty big, right?
...and then I put it on...and it's a neckerchief! Oh well, I still like it. It will be cute for the fall. If I ever attempt this pattern again, I'll use thicker yarn, bigger needles, and I won't make any changes to the pattern. It's fine the way it is.
And up next I'm going to be making this Lopi Lace scarf from Weekend Knitting for my sister. That maroon yarn is the stuff I had to re-hank, it's still drying. It's really pretty and had been sitting in that monstrocity daring to call itself a sweater for too long.
And LOL this is just my cat Mona being ridiculous. She layed in this position for a good 20 minutes, and I still have no idea why hahaha. She never lays like that O_o She looks like she's doing the OPP dance.
