Woot!
So, it turns out that my calling in life is writing massive alternate universe fanfics where I take nice normal mutants and stick them in film noir. I've been writing this story over on the X-Men: First Class kink meme and it comes ridiculously easy to me. Usually when I'm writing I work veeery slowly, and I'll maybe write, like, a thousand words a day or something. It takes me weeks for my stories to take up more than three or four pages in Microsoft Word. But this fic? I am on a ROLL with this fic. I started writing today, and I've already got 7,481 words. That's 16 single spaced pages in Word. And it actually has a plot, and I managed to write a really good sex scene for once (most of my sex scenes are really really horribly awful), and it's good, and I'm amazed that I've gotten so much work done in so little time!
Anyway, whatever, I'm gushing, but I'm really proud of myself. I fucking love this fandom, it inspires me. I'm like a lean, mean, fanfiction writing machine! Whoo!
