Okay! So! I am making a concentrated effort to not be angsty anymore! Because it's annoying for everyone else! So I'm happy now, dammit! It's spring, the air smells nice, and my skin is clearing up. It's all good.
I've started driving lessons. My instructor is... not the best, and the car is pure evil (I've nicknamed it Vlad the Impala), but all in all it's not so bad. I'm a much better driver with my dad's Prius, but, alas, no dice.
I got a job. I'm a receptionist at the place where I do kickboxing. It's a really great job. I answer phones, fill out contracts, vaccum, and read my book. It's easy, but fun. Also, my boss kicks ASS. She's a huge nerd, just like me. The first day we met she was wearing a Doctor Horrible t-shirt. We both love Doctor Who, Joss Whedon, comics, and Shakespeare. She works at the Ren Faire during the summer and she sings in a pirate band. She can joust. Seriously, she's the coolest boss EVER.
That leads me into my next topic, which is a show called The Middleman that my boss introduced me to.
OMG. SUCH a good show. It only ran for one season (DAMN) but it's amazing. Really funny, really cool, chock full of nerdy references. Also, the titular Middleman is ((really, really)) attractive. Just a great show. Seriously, if you haven't seen it, check it out.
I went to a party last night, my friend J's sweet sixteen. I didn't have a sweet sixteen because I was too busy hanging out at The Dresden Dolls concert in NYC that night. So this was my first. It was... interesting. There was a DJ, so it was very loud and the music was... well, dance music (I only recognized one song). I ended up slow dancing at one point with a guy who's a foot taller than me, which was extremely awkward.
Meh. Truthfully, I didn't really have a good time. I'm not good at those sort of parties. I'd rather just hang out and watch movies. Whatever.
