The second day of corporate brainwashing and I wish someone would blow up the airport already. Okay I get that starbucks wants all its monkeys to believe that their coffee is expensive because they pay farmers a premium for coffee beans. I'm beginning to think that the brainwashing is working because it seems everyone is frighteningly chipper and quickly mastering customer ass-kissing.
The uh, coffee tasting and describing rather amused me though.
"What do you smell?"
"Uh... coffee?"
"Appreciate the aroma."
"Uh... its nutty...?"
"Now slurp it, identify the flavour on your tongue. What can you tell about the acidity, and body?"
"Its... um bitter? And... crisp...?"
"And can you suggest a pastry to complement it?"
Ohhh boy. Tomorrow we actually get make drinks. I think. I'm going to finish my 20 pages of forms for an airport security pass now. Watch someone try to blow up a plane with a cup of coffee soon.
And by the looks of it. I'll be at HC on dec 31, and Starbucks on jan 1. AND my first shift will likely be in the US terminal. Cranky americans. Fun.
