People need to get their definition of 'wank' right. 'Wank' is not when someone calls out sexism, racism, etc; wank is "ridiculous, circular or inappropriately elaborate argument about something, especially if obnoxious, pretentious or outright unsubstantial."
Yeah, that shit about icons and noobs is wank. Because they are pointless arguments about pointless things. But the arguments against the sexist stuff in that Spain NT post or the racism in that Qatar post is not wank. It's completely legitimate and necessary argument. I hate the implication that being passionate about social justice is somehow deserving of being made fun of.
_fb is getting more failtastic by the day, as that post (and the comments in it) shows. I don't know, maybe taking it off my flist would be good, but then my flist would be glacially slow :\
