These sorts of Deck functions were always interminable. Julien wouldn't even bother going to them except for a few salient points. One: he was, if not a Face card yet, rather high-ranking so it had become expected of him. It is, apparently, a nice sunny day. And a younger Julien has decided to sit on a bench outside at the Club's castle and eat his lunch. Lancelot, he figures, will be by sooner or later.

Apparently he has no concept of calling ahead.

With the death of two kings...and one being the King of Spades, Julien had found himself rather busy of late. An Ace's duty, after all, was to his sovereigns. Or, well, sovereign.
