The show last weekend was exhausting but fun. I ended up helping out in the 'babes' changing room on Sunday; myself and one of the moms looking after 18 very excited children aged between 3 and 7. 17 girls and 1 boy- who was SUCH a little rogue! He ended up completely ignoring anything Sam (the mom) asked him to do, and would only listen to me. I love the curiosity kids have, especially at that age. Though I had to laugh when one girl asked how old I was. "How old do you think I am?" "Mmmm....thirty two."
Not quite, love. Not quite!
Also, I have all fingers crossed that my former dance teacher will be able to work her magic and let me borrow one of
these gorgeous costumes for the DUFFA Hat tournament party. The senior girls (who I used to be in a group with) wore them as part of the Pirates of the Caribbean ballet; and I fell in love with those outfits at once. Now I am DEFINITELY not one for dresses (especially that short!), but my god I love that one.
Doesn't look like I'll have any more work assignments before the end of July, so I'm free until I go back to uni. Well, I say that... I have DUFFA Hat near the end of July, mine and mom's birthdays at the start of August, Cropredy music festival the weekend after that... So much I need to do before I head back up to Stafford!
But I can't wait to go back to uni :) I really miss it. Plus, this is the year where I get to do serious research into what I'm going to do with my life after uni. I've got plenty of ideas and backup plans, so with any luck at least one of them will be successful.
And I'm still looking to emigrate :)
