Master Laminator

"Are you here next year?"
"I am indeed."
"Good, you can be my master laminator."

I like it when Kate's around at work :) She nearly always has work for me to do, and it's always fun work. Like searching the net for the cheapest laminator, or looking on Ebay for a slot punch. Today it was making the Union name badges, so I got to use the new laminator that I found online. It's nice to feel useful.

Did a self portrait in charcoal last night, and I'm actually surprised at how well it came out. It's over on my DeviantArt page along with the rest of my work. I'm hoping to play around with charcoal a bit more tonight, though I've also finally got some ideas for my own art style that I want to play around with in pencil- and maybe my new oil pastels.

Eventually I want to try oil paints. I know they take a long time to dry and working with them is quite different to acrylics, but I've always wanted to see what the difference is.

I actually have my own mini-gallery at the moment. Better known as my ex-housemate's room! I needed somewhere safe to keep my charcoal works safe where I wouldn't smudge them or rip them, at least until I get a fixative. Hairspray, probably!

Need to remember to past the shop on my way home tonight. I need bread, milk and...something else, I forget now. And possibly NME.
