End of another semester

Well I am happy. 6 courses this semester and 6 A's. Not to brag :-). There were a couple of question marks there for this past 2-month module, but all was well. Got my graduate GPA to 3.96 now, with one semester to go. As if GPA means much in the job search.

Went to Doug and Amber-Dawn's undergrad graduation commencements on Saturday. Due to fewer students graduating in December as compared to May, the durations were pleasantly short. Well, about as short as hearing 500 students names being called can be, TWICE in the same day. We had a nice dinner with Doug's family afterwards, and I was glad to spend some time with my Dad. So despite making it the 15th trip to and from Gainesville, it was worth it.

Turned 24 yesterday, damn I feel old. People telling me I can't play videogames anymore :-(. Debbie objected, but didn't throw any surprise party, at my request. Instead we had a good day shopping the mall a bit, for Xmas of course, then at Outback, then to see Kong. Kong was disappointing (and LOOOOONNGG). I prefer the '76 version with Jeff Bridges. Not sure if it was the CGI (which was very pretty), but it wasn't very emotional to me. Just too many unrealistic action scenes ( I know, how realistic do I expect a movie about a 50-foot ape to be).
