True Story:
today for a demonstration our made phonetics professor made a small group of hold up letters in front of the class that spelled out a word or phrase using (phonetic) IPA symbols. She was trying to explain progressive or regressive assimilation which in lamens terms means a letter's sound is altared by either a letter before it or after it. Annnnnyway, our word was Balls. BALLS!?*
