Summary: It all started as a simple experiment.
Ohno takes off his jacket tiredly, tossing it onto his bed. Nino’s already sprawled out on the bed beside Ohno’s, eyes scanning over the action blankly. He doesn’t bother to take off his jacket, blaming it on the heavy air conditioning.
It’s only when the older takes off his shirt and starts shuffling through his bag for his pajamas when Nino finds the small energy left in him to think.
It all started from an idea. At first, it was just a quick thought, only brushing his mind lightly. And then it’s Nino creeping up behind Ohno, one arm snaking around his waist, the other slightly brushing over his bare chest. The artist freezes, his breath catching.
Always so confident, everything under his control. Nino smirks when Ohno turns and looks at him, expression something like shock and confusion. The gamer leans in until their noses are touching, daring the other to do something.
Ohno’s gaze lingers on Nino’s playful eyes for a bit. It then wanders down to his lips. Nino’s lips are a bit moist, curved upwards a bit in an inviting smile.
Ohno kisses Nino.
It’s all just an experiment. Nothing more than that. Nino smirks into the kiss, his small hands wandering all over Ohno’s back. When the younger leans back, the other follows, and they separate for just a second as Nino falls back onto the bed, only for Ohno to crawl on top of him and kiss him hard.
The artist pulls away after a bit, his face still dangerously close but enough for their eyes to meet. The slender fingers brush the side of Nino’s face gently. Lovingly. And It’s something about the look in Ohno’s eyes that makes Nino’s breath catch.
"I love you," Ohno smiles, pressing their foreheads together. Nino stiffens, and then all the confidence suddenly fades away; this is not what he had expected at all. It leaves him small and vulnerable. When Ohno kisses him again, he shivers.
Nino then falls in love.
