Watched The ABC Doco on soul music last night, and it was about Funk. Basically they covered 5 artists, James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and George Clinton and P Funk. All interwoven with the civil rights movement of the 60's. Quite frankly as a documentary it rocked. It also surprised me just how seemlessly the move from late funk to early hip-hop is. Also I rekon
