The session has started at the centre, which means I'm back to regular work. I asked them to move the program ahead by an hour, after I saw some parents staying at the centre after school to wait for it.
The response has been overwhelming. The piano program filled up FAST, with Fridays becoming completely booked (a shock for me) and a waiting list. My supervisor asked if I wanted to take the extra students, and I agreed to. (I still leave earlier than I planned, anyway - it's nice to come home and still have some night left over.) Need to start churning out those videos again!
Most of the students are pretty focused, with the exception of one daycare/parent combo who asked me to escort the kid back to his daycare. He's not really into piano - I can sense that this is a babysitting class for him. The others are pretty good.
The allergy season is driving me crazy. Ever since I came back from LARP I've had problems breathing and my eyes itch. I'm apparently not alone, however - it just appears to be a much worse season.
For LARP, I need to make myself stitch up some tabards for donating; one more game and my LARP season is over. (There's a final event on Halloween, but I'm not attending it. Horror is part of the package, but I also know that much of the game is spent hiding in the woods...the cold, November 1st to 3rd woods. I value my health a lot more.)
I'm still a little nervous about LARPing with my character. I really enjoy her, and she hasn't taken any deaths (you get two free deaths, then after that you flip a coin to see if you come back). I'm sure the Shaper team is aware of this, and wouldn't hesitate to gun for her.
