Yay circus!

Peter took me to the circus yesterday. ^.^ It was at Woodbine Centre (the local mall) - maybe 15-20 minutes of walking.

I'm glad that we used coupons instead of actually buying tickets. $15 for a seat is expensive. And so was all the food and concession-like stuff. In my mind, not only is it pricey, but it's wasteful to buy something that's good for a few days, at best, and you throw it out.

My favourite acts were probably the animals. Being family-friendly, there were no lions and tigers and bears (oh my!). The first animal act were a team of Arabians with winged costumes that did synchronized tricks. My definite favourite were the dogs - adult and puppy black Scottish terriers that did tricks as well. The trainer came out twice, too - once for the dogs, and the second time was mostly juggling with dog assistants.

Not really jet lagged, thank goodness. I normally keep odd sleeping hours - that is, maybe six or seven hours at night plus a nap during the day. Before leaving Taiwan I found myself napping more and more during the day. On the way here, I couldn't sleep on the plane, but fortunately I did get to stay a night in Vancouver - not much rest, but it was loads better than coming back to Toronto at 7 in the morning.
